Embracing Summer

We embrace Summer in Portland with open arms, and longing hearts. Summer is the time of year we live for in the Pacific Northwest. We are green and lush, with dense forests of old growth trees, tall pines that touch the sky with glory, mossy hillsides, and earthy smells.
This time of year, in early Spring, while the rain is still falling, we wake everyday, rush to the window, is it cloudy ? Raining ? or cold ? When we glimpse even a hint of sun, we smile, ready for the day, all the while reminding ourselves, as we count down the days, until Summer arrives, and once again feel the warmth of the sun as it caresses our skin. And so it goes, in Portland, Oregon, as we embrace another Summer...
